Good morning all!
What a week it has been! So much has been going on, not only on the music front, but also on the life front. It's crazy how this time of year seems to fly by. It is what most of us look forward to all year long, and in the blink of an eye it seems like it is gone and we are starting a new year. I hope you all make the most of the time you have this year with your family and friends, and truly enjoy and savor this last part of 2015. There are only 46 days left, if you can believe that!
Thursday night I was lucky enough to be able to attend a panel and writers night at 3rd and Lindsley. Not only was there some pretty great music, sharing the stage with Gabe Dixon and Erin McCarley, but a panel of industry professionals talked about sync licensing and getting music into films and TV shows. It is always great when music can combine with learning something new, and I definitely learned a lot! Thanks to anyone who came out to support as well. We had a blast!
Friday night was a night of firsts! It was the first frost of the season for Nashville, and my first fire/smore of the season. Don't those smores look tasty? They were :) The secret is to use a symphony bar instead of regular chocolate. The nuts in the bar give an extra little crunch that is amazing! And you know me, I'm always excited about the cold weather.
Saturday I was busy writing some new material and attending a yoga class. Do any of you do yoga? It is a great way to clear your mind and relax a bit after a long week.
This week coming up will surely be busy as well. Stoopid Kool has a gig this Saturday so come on out to Skully's for a great time! Next week is Thanksgiving and I will be posting from my home in Wyoming. Yep, I'm going home! Anyone in the area let me know. There may or may not be an impromptu show :)
