Good morning all! This weekend was a great big party heard around the world. And another busy one for me. Friday night Stoopid Kool was playing at the VFW (Veterns) in Hendersonville, TN. We saw some great costumes and had a wonderful crowd. Even raised some money for the Veterans of Tennessee, so thank you to all who came out! As always, we had a blast playing for you, and dressing up to boot!
Saturday evening was Halloween and I was lucky enough to attend a show at the Nashville City Winery. It is such a beautiful venue, and the perfect ambiance for a Jon McLaughlin show. He rocked the house and definitely gave me some inspiration for my next album.
Yesterday, while grabbing a cup of coffee at 8th and Roast, I ran into Hunter Hayes. Literally! He was filiming a music video at Douglas Corner and neither of us were paying attention. Luckily I didn't spill any coffee. Hunter will be playing a free show tonight in front of the Bridgestone Arena. Speaking of, tonight, at Twin Kegs II I will be performing some solo songs around 7pm. Come on down if you are in the Nashville area for a pre-Hunter Hayes show. This show is closer to town than some that I play, so for those of you that want to stick close to home now is your chance to head on out!
This week coming up is another busy one, as everyone knows the end of the year tends to be. The CMAs are this Wednesday, and I will be attending a star studded awards show. I'll get some pictures up from that next week.
It is November already! Just 53 short days until Christmas, and 25 until Thanksgiving! I love Thanksgiving, and will be playing a ton of shows between now and then. And for those of you in the Western states of Wyoming and Colorado, stay tuned for some performances out your way in three weeks.
