"I've seen the firewatcher's daughter." -Brandi Carlile
Welcome to Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful week and an even better weekend! Mine was quite hectic, as I'm sure you have seen a bit of through Facebook. I had a few friends in town from England, and a few great shows to attend. This is the time of year, my friends. There are so many great albums being released this month and next, and so many great artists going on tour as a result. I want to see them all! Good thing Nashville is such a big concert town.
Speaking of concerts, last week I had the opportunity to see two incredibly different but equally amazing shows. Wednesday I was back at the new Ascend Ampitheater in Nashville for Cam, Jerrod Neimann, and Chris Young. For all you country fans, I'm sure you've heard Jerrod's new song "Blue Bandana". It was my pleasure to be able to share that concert and experience with one of the songwriters of that song, Ben Goldsmith. As for the rest of the show, it was my second time seeing Chris, but first with him as the headliner. I was not disappointed! Then yesterday, I headed down to Birmingham to hear the lovely Brandi Carlile. She sang and played her heart out, and her and the twins put on an excellent show!
Speaking of shows, due to rain we were unable to perform this weekend at Bikini Beach. But not to worry! We have been re-scheduled for Sunday, October 25th from 2-6pm, so make sure you mark your calenders now! I'm also working on doing another transcontinental show in England next May. If you need a vacation, now is the time to start planning. Come on over and see me :)
There are lots of exciting things on the horizon for me and you as my fans! I'm playing a wedding on Sunday, and then I have a solo show at Twin Kegs on Monday, October 12th. I look forward to seeing you all there. If you come out, shout a request at me and I will make sure to play it! I'm in contact with a new producer and we have big ideas for a new track.
As always, any suggestions or comments, let me know! I love hearing from you all.
Have a great week! Jess :)
