Sara Bareilles just came out with a new single, and news on a new album! Thus, the song lyric for this week. She has a way of stringing words together and making the listener feel something. Whether that something is good or bad, I think depends on what state you are in when you hear it. The meaning can change each time you hear it. But one thing you can say is consistent about her writing, is that it gets stuck in your head!

Thank you to all who came out to the gig this Saturday at the Marina! It was a bit wet and stormy, but the small and mighty crowd that we were had a blast. We premiered some new songs (RESPECT by Aretha Franklin anyone?) and enjoyed some of the classic Stoopid Kool hits. We have another show this Saturday at Bikin Beach- and it is earlier! 3-7pm so it is the perfect gig for all you non-late nighters.
I went to my first profesional football event this Sunday. Titans Vs Colts. It was a great game, and fun to get out and do something different for a change. Changing your environment up always leads to different inspirations and different song ideas.
This week, let's try to do something new and different! Shake up that perspective a bit :) It is easy to get stuck in the same routine, I am just as guilty of that as anyone! No matter what happens today, tomorrow is a new day to make the most of.
